Going back to the earliest days
of my childhood, Christmas time and the winter season
was perhaps my very favorite time of the year. My
mind is still filled with many fond memories from
those days: the fragrance of a fresh cut Christmas
tree, images of frost on the windows, snow drifting
up to the front door, icicles glistening in the
sun, the glow of candles and colored Christmas lights,
the wonderful sound of some of the old Christmas
"classics" from the 1940's and 50's like "Let
It Snow." It was a happy/joyful time
of year and our home was always filled with the
"spirit of the season". We would spend our days
outside, sledding down the hillside, building snowmen...
and igloos, making snow angels, skating on the river,
and taking the time to enjoy the "breathtaking"
beauty of nature after a fresh fallen snow.
Over the course of the last twelve
years or so, I have written well over two dozen
Christmas/Seasonal songs based on my recollection
of some of those childhood memories ...as well as
later experiences that have further "deepened" my
love for the winter season. I had always hoped to
someday be able to share these songs... and their
messages with others. It is my sincere wish that
you will find enjoyment in listening to this Seasonal
song collection... that it may take you back in time
to re-connect with some of your own fond memories
of this most wonderful time of the year.
